In case you have missed all my complaining about typepad, in a nut shell, typepad wont allow me to post pictures and we cannot seem to sort that out. And that's all I am gonna say about it for today.
I have some REALLY fun upcoming events though!!!
First, @ the end of July I will be doing a book signing for the new book Stitch Zakka @ Fabric Garden in Sacramento. It will be a fun evening. If you plan on attending & would like to make sure the shop has enough books for you to get your hands on one...call ahead to let them know. 916 483 2955.
Second, I have been invited back to Alden Lane Quilting In The Garden again this year. They are working on getting information up on the site so keep checking here.
All righty, I am off to find my stitching stuff & maybe get a little work done. Hope you are all having a great weekend!
I have changed my browser (twice) because some TypePad tech is sure that is the problem keeping me from uploading pictures to the blog. And for all their infintie techie wisdom & my efforts, guess what? I still can't upload pictures to the blog. So, one of two things will be happening in the not-too-distant future:
(1) This will get resolved & I will be able to post pictures
(2) I wont be blogging with Typepad anymore...someone else will get my business.
My calendar tells me it's Tuesday. My son turns 9 today so I know it's Tuesday. But for the love of Pete, it feels a whole lot like Monday. This is probably a result of all the chores I have been doing. Oh, and in case you didn't notice...still no pictures. Thank you very much TypePad for sucking big time. BIG TIME.
So TypePad has issues. That's my nice way of complaining about the inability to upload a photograph to my posts right now. I tried this morning but gave up after 20 minutes of my computer "thinking about it". It's really frustrating because I actually have things I am excited to show you. Things like my super cool new pincushion and my sample in progress for my class at Quilting In The Garden this year. Rizzum Frazzum, Frizzum Razzum!
So, right after I finish this post I am going to march my virtual bahookie over to tech support and file a complaint. Here's hoping it gets something fixed.
I have been a busy little bee cleaning out closets & corners. So far I can check off the girl child's dresser, the linen closet, & most of the studio. It's progress.
In between I have been doing a little work. I made myself a really cute pincushion. Even took a picture of it so I could show you here on the blog. But TypePad is being stinky & won't load photos. And I have even started some new stitchery work too. Some of it is top secret but I have a few things I could share. If TypePad weren't being stinky and all.
Have you ever gotton so out of the habit of doing something that you forget how to do it? That's how I feel about blogging. Every time I sit down to update the blog I blank. Can't seem to come with one iota of interesting text, little alone a picture. It's sad really. And it's REALLY sad. The truth is it's not for a lack of things going on either. I am busy with about a zillion things from cleaning out my house (to get ready for an upcoming move), to kids end of school year "stuff", and preparing submissions for magazines all over the place...and designing another quilt for charity. So, you think I'd be over-flowing with bloggy post goodness. Not so much.
Hopefully this "dry-spell" on the blog will end soon...before the last 8-10 of you still following me give up and move on to more interesting blogs that actually post things consistently.
Woo Hoo! The booth is ready & I will take pictures today to prove it! Sample Spree was last night & I bought two stacks of Andover fabrics that I hope to very soon turn into something new for you. I am off to have some oatmeal (exciting, I know). And Market opens in 2 hours! See ya soon.
So...don't know if you remember me blogging about this wonderful charity quilt event called "Tickled Pink" that I got to be a part of last year. But, the quilt is done and tickets to win it for your very own are on sale @ A Quilted Heart (shop located in Vacaville, CA). It was an honor to design this quilt for such a wonderful event & you can bet my names in the pool of those vying for ownership.
Something EXTRA wonderful happened too...they asked me to design this years quilt for the event. So, when I get home from Market next month I will begin to put the creative wheels in motion. In other news, this project is coming along nicely & should be done by the end of this week... I am hoping to chalk up two stitcheries & one smaller wool piece to this weeks finishes too. If I can pull that off then I only have a handful of small finishes for next week which I am trying to make my last week of stitching so that I can get on to the remainder of my pattern writing chores & cover photos & booth prep...ok, gotta go back to work!
